Notes for the digital commons

Let's insert entries from the top, pressing earlier ones lower.

12/29:2021: I recently read The Future of the Commons: Beyond Market Failure and Government Regulation by Elinor Ostrom and others (London: The Institute of Economic Affairs, 2012). It is basically the text of a lecture she gave shortly before she died on the future of the commons, really the future of scholarship needing to be done within the Institutional Analysis and Development framework that she and her colleagues developed investigating the management of natural resource systems. Ostrom's views are far more expansive that those IEA champions and the publication as a whole is interesting for the way IEA tries to bring her work into its fold. (RMcC)
